Samantha MacCallon, LPC
Samantha Borrego MacCallon is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience working with diverse populations in outpatient and school settings. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in areas such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, emotional regulation, and child-parent relationship issues.
She uses a person-centered, strengths-based, collaborative approach, combining expressive therapies, solution-focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. Samantha is certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) and has worked, in various roles, within the child welfare system for 14 years.
She is passionate about providing high quality mental health services to people of color, LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized populations. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Political Science from Southwestern University as well as her Master’s in Professional Guidance and Counseling from Texas State University.
Samantha enjoys spending time with family and pets, traveling, cooking, and playing disc golf.
