Veronica is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She earned her master’s degree while attending The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship at Heartland Alliance serving children, families and adults who had experienced or witnessed community violence, sexual violence and/or domestic violence. After graduation, she began providing services to children, adolescents and their families. Her experience is in child parent psychotherapy focusing on parent child relationships, family therapy, individual therapy. She has experience working with dynamic family systems, complex trauma, generational trauma, survivors of sexual violence/domestic violence, self-harming behaviors, bullying concerns, grief and loss, adjustment to life transitions, depression, and self-esteem concerns. She is culturally sensitive. Her approach is to empower the client while guiding them on their therapeutic journey. She believes in utilizing multiple techniques and counseling approaches in order to best fit the needs of the evolving client. In her free time, Veronica enjoys outdoor activities such as running, kayaking, cycling, and hiking. She also enjoys participating in community events and finding ways to be green.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
