Veronica Garza, LPC
School-Based Bilingual Clinical Therapist
Veronica Garza is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She offers individual, group and family therapy. She approaches her work with clients sensitively while providing ongoing support and guidance through their therapeutic journey. She has treated individuals who have struggled with symptoms associated with sexual violence, domestic violence, anxiety and stress, depression, generational trauma, grief and loss, adjustment to life transitions and family separations. Some key concerns for children and adolescents that she has worked with have been decreased self-esteem, thoughts of self-harm and/or suicidal ideations as well as bullying by peers and challenges in social settings. She believes in incorporating multiple modalities to better fit the evolving client; increasing self-awareness and self-compassion is also a focus in helping clients appreciate their self-worth. During her free time, Veronica enjoys practicing self-care by running, hiking and anything outdoors; she also enjoys activities that promote creative expression through art, music and crafting. Veronica holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology with a focus on Child Protection from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
