Sharasa is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who views her work with clients as a partnership. Sharasa has more than 6 years of clinical experience, three of which were spent working as a school-based therapist. Sharasa is from New Hampshire and received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Plymouth State University.
Sharasa believes wholeheartedly in the healing power of relationships and empathic support. It is her passion to validate and normalize the struggles adolescents may face on their journey to autonomy and provide support to diverse families, however they come to be.
Sharasa has experience helping people who are struggling with many different issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, life stress, and healing from trauma. Her goal is to assist her clients in gaining a deeper understanding of the problems and issues that brought them into therapy and help them heal and grow in a meaningful way.
Sharasa utilizes several therapeutic styles and a collaborative approach. She feels that together, we identify “the problem,” then explore obstacles that block the process. The goal is wholeness and healing and the client decides what that looks like. Building a safe, respectful and trusting relationship is essential for success —- as the client defines “success.” Sharasa also believes that even in the most dire of circumstances, we can find joy, hope and even laughter. She feels fortunate and enjoys playing a part in that healing process with her clients.
