Sharasa is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Sharasa has enjoyed working with children and families in education and mental health for 10 years and has been a counselor for 8 years. Sharasa views her work with clients as a partnership. She believes wholeheartedly in the healing power of relationships and empathic support. It is her passion to validate and normalize the struggles her clients may face on their journey to autonomy and provide support to diverse families, however they come to be. Sharasa’s strengths lie working with individuals who struggle with depression, feelings of worthlessness, anxiety, relationship problems, life stressors, and who may be healing from trauma. Sharasa utilizes a strengths-based approach and also has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Her goal is to assist her clients in gaining a deeper understanding of the problems and issues that brought them into therapy and help them heal and grow in a meaningful way. Sharasa’s main focus is to create a non-judgmental environment and to assist them on a journey of self empowerment and success. Sharasa has one beautiful daughter and a fun energetic dog. She is happiest when she is out in nature and completing a craft or project.
