Sandra Olarte-Hayes, LCSW
School-Based Bilingual Clinical Therapist

Sandra Olarte-Hayes is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience providing therapeutic services in both Spanish and English. She completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, QC where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and minored in World Religions. Sandra then took time to conduct research in Psychology, travel throughout Latin America, and volunteer in the community. These combined experiences led her to Texas, where she earned a Master’s of Science in Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.

Sandra’s work has focused primarily on immigrant youth and families, domestic violence survivors and offenders, formerly and currently incarcerated individuals, and young leaders. She also has extensive experience working with clients undergoing family conflict, depression, personal and intergenerational trauma, and cultural issues. With a relational therapeutic style, Sandra draws from a variety of different modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and sand tray therapy. She is deeply passionate about restorative justice and bringing healing to individuals on both sides of violence and strongly believes all change, both systemic and personal, are grounded in relationships, connection, and community. In her free time, Sandra enjoys making paintings of cute animals, traveling, spending time outside, volunteering in the community, and facilitating healing circles.
