Nic Dahlberg, LPC
School-Based Clinical Therapist
Nic is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with more than five years of experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings including in schools and in homes. He received his master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Texas State University in 2014 and has been working as a licensed counselor in a variety of settings since then. Nic believes in reducing barriers to high quality mental health treatment, and he is passionate about providing quality mental health care to people from all backgrounds. Nic works primarily with teens, offering individual, family, and group counseling services. He is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. Nic believes in a relational and client centered approach to therapy which focuses on developing a positive relationship through validation, open mindedness and acceptance. His focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, social problems, and adjustment to life transitions. Nic believes in the potential of every client to thrive when they are accepted, validated, and given a space to be their authentic selves. Nic enjoys living in Austin with his wife and dog because of the incredible food scene and the many outdoor activities available. Nic enjoys exercising, yoga, hiking, movies, and traveling all around the world.
