Miguel is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who graduated from Texas State University with a Master of Social Work (MSW). He began his academic voyage graduating with a psychology degree, followed by two social work degrees. Throughout his academic career, he always felt the drive to help individuals who were struggling with the myriad of life’s challenges. An occupation as a therapist quickly became his primary aspiration for the future. Miguel’s care philosophy is accentuated with humanistic and cognitive psychology, sustaining holistic perspectives, the development of self-efficacy and transferable skills, and serving as a therapeutic guide for individuals rather than presuming to be the authority at the wheel. Additionally, he firmly believes that the uniqueness of us all is what makes us capable of mustering strength to overcome our respective challenges. His primary goal is to cultivate a therapeutic environment that is personalized, culturally and spiritually sensitive, empathetic, and non-judgmental. Outside of therapeutic endeavors he plays the drums, loves his animals, passionately cooks sustenance, and appreciates the glory of mother nature.
