Marlene Iglesias, LPC
School-Based Bilingual Clinical Therapist

Marlene is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience working in alcohol and drug prevention program, international children’s shelter, outpatient behavioral health, juvenile probation, and school settings. Her college education was completed at Texas A&M International University earning BA in Psychology minor in English and MA in Counseling Psychology. She incorporates cultural sensitivity and openness in her therapeutic services and hopes for a future of cultural and global competence regarding the stigma surrounding mental health. Marlene works primarily with children and families and offers individual, family, and group sessions. Her specialties include assisting children/teens with a positive self-image, depression, anxiety, trauma, loss/grief, family transitions due to adjustments, and immigration population challenges. Her therapeutic approach includes client centered, solution focused intervention techniques, and eclectic interventions based on the individual needs of each client. Marlene’s leisurely activities include sketching, reading, yoga, and enjoying quality time with her loved ones-exploring Austin area for latest concerts and variety of food.
