Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in therapy for families, individuals, adolescents and children.  Laura has worked with children and adolescents since 2004 and has been in the mental health field since 2014.  Laura has worked as a paraprofessional, classroom teacher, school counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. Laura graduated with an M.S. in Counseling from California State University Sacramento and has experience with a wide range of exceptionalities.  Among her areas of expertise are children ages 5-10 utilizing child-centered play therapy and with adolescents utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Anxiety, self-esteem, anger and self-regulation are areas of strength for Laura. Laura works from a holistic, humanistic, strength-based perspective with her clients, recognizing and building on the unique strengths of each one.  She focuses on creating relationships with clients by being truly present and empathetically understanding their perspective which guides them to solve the issues for which they are seeking counseling. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and being outdoors.
