Laura Banks, LCSW

Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly 15 years of experience working in schools, as well as inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. Her primary areas of focus include anxiety, trauma and PTSD, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, stress, and self-esteem issues. Laura is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and her approach to therapy is informed by many various techniques and strategies, allowing her to customize services to meet the needs of each person. Laura believes high quality care and wellness opportunities must be accessible and equitable, and she is passionate about dissolving systems of stigma related to mental and behavioral health.  She works primarily with teens and adults, offering individual, family, and group counseling services. She believes that a safe and trusting relationship is the foundation for therapeutic work and uses a collaborative, strengths-based approach with clients. Laura loves being outside, traveling, trying new recipes and restaurants, and quality time with family and friends.
