Laura Johnson, LPC, RPT School-Based Clinical Therapist, Clinical Campus Manager
Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. Laura has enjoyed working with children and families in education and mental health for 15 years and has been a counselor for 10 years. Laura specializes in working with children, adolescents and families and provides individual, group and family therapy. She uses a strength-based and collaborative approach, combining expressive therapies, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral techniques. She also has specialized training in Play Therapy and EMDR techniques, and a special interest in incorporating art, sand tray and other expressive therapies into her work as she seeks to tailor the unique needs of the individual she is working with. Laura provides a safe, caring and encouraging environment where clients can find healing and seek solutions that will bring about lasting change. Laura also loves being a mom of two girls, spending time in nature, playing and listening to music and enjoys being with family and friends.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
