Jose Miranda, Psy.D.
School-Based Bilingual Clinical Psychologist
Jose is a licensed psychologist with experience in outpatient, inpatient, and school-based mental health. In addition to private and public schools, he has worked in crisis stabilization units, residential substance abuse programs, juvenile detention centers, and residential group homes. Jose completed his undergraduate studies in psychology at Florida State University and went on to complete his Doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Jose believes wholeheartedly in working with the different facets of a child’s life and loves collaborating with a child’s family and teachers. In addition, Jose is fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and is very dedicated to working with Spanish speaking families and being a strong advocate for them. He enjoys using many therapy modalities but has a strong passion for play therapy and the like, with a keen emphasis on cultural sensitivity. Jose is a native of Miami, Florida but is very happy to call Austin home.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
