Jazarit Ochoa, LMSW

Jazarit Ochoa is a licensed social worker with experience working with diverse populations. Originally from East Texas, she has lived in Austin for approximately six years. She received her Bachelor in Social Work, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Educational Psychology, and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been interested in mental health and working with youth and their families for as long as she can remember. She believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and working alongside individuals. Jazarit uses techniques from different modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Child Centered Play Therapy, among others to help formulate the best intervention for each unique individual. She encourages authenticity and celebrates differences. When Jazarit is not at work or spending time with her loved ones, she is either at a gym or at a “hole in the wall” Austin Restaurant.
