Gabriela Mora, LPC School-Based Senior Clinical Therapist, Campus Support Coordinator
Gabriela is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in social services for over 15 years. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults and families. She has worked with clients in various settings such as healthcare, education, criminal justice & early childhood programs. She received a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward’s University in Austin and completed her clinical internship with Travis County Sheriff’s Office and Family Violence Prevention Services.
She is compassionate and provides a safe, nurturing place where clients are comfortable and feel supported while on path to emotional and overall wellness. Gabriela utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma informed care and person-centered theories. She uses play therapy, mindfulness and attachment theories to assist and support children & improve parent child relationships. Gabriela focuses on the therapeutic relationship to help clients work towards their goals and promote positive changes. Her focus includes: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and affective disorders. Other areas of interest include ADHD, anxiety in children, relationship issues, domestic violence and abuse. She has experience working with diverse populations, multicultural issues and provides services to Spanish speaking populations. In her free time Gabriela enjoys outdoor activities, sporting events, movies and spending time with family and friends.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
