Erika is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with more than five years of experience working in schools, as well as outpatient mental health settings. She studied psychology at Virginia Tech before earning a master’s degree in counseling psychology at St. Edwards University in Austin, TX. Erika believes in reducing barriers to high quality mental health treatment, and she is passionate about sharing these services with youth and families. Erika works primarily with children and teens, offering individual, family, and group counseling services. She is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and Trauma Informed Care. Erika believes in a strengths based and solution focused approach when working with her clients. Her focus includes anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, social problems, and adjustment to life transitions. Erika believes in individualizing services to meet the needs of each client. In her free time, Erika enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, the Austin food and music scene, and hanging out with her dog Beau.
