Emily is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin to obtain her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. She enjoys working with adults and adolescents and focuses on issues related to anxiety, depression, relational stressors, social problems, and adjustment to life transitions. Emily believes therapy is an opportunity for people to build new understandings and insights on situations and relationships within an individual’s life. In addition, the therapeutic relationship allows a person to have a safe place to explore their situations and understand what is holding them back. In her free time Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and hiking with her dog, Barley.
