Eliza Schindler, LCSW School-Based Clinical Therapist
Eliza has been working with children for over a decade. Her passion to help those in need led her to a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Sociology from Rhodes College and a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas (#59980) and is currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
With over six years of experience in the field of social work, Eliza has worked with children, adolescents, parents, and adults in various settings such as elementary and high schools, psychiatric hospitals, and nursing homes. For the past three years Eliza has been working in the school system with elementary school children.
Children are growing up in a complex world, trying to navigate school, social media, peer relationships, family changes, mental health challenges, and traumatic events. Through a child-centered approach, Eliza provides a safe space in which children can explore their emotions and express their feelings through play. Parents know their children best, so Eliza also provides support to parents as they navigate the complexities of raising a child in today’s world.
