Rachel McCarthy, Psy.D.
School-Based Clinical Psychologist

Dr. McCarthy is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and families within various trauma-informed community mental health centers. Dr. McCarthy has been trained and has experience in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, problematic behaviors, grief and loss, adjustment problems, interpersonal challenges, and family difficulties. Because she believes in the power of the individual to make powerful, positive, growth-oriented changes in their lives, Dr. McCarthy strives to build a relationship of trust with her clients in which they can feel secure and safe to share, explore, and process their experiences. Utilizing a healing centered approach, cultural sensitivity, and strength-based techniques, Dr. McCarthy works through a holistic lens that involves the client’s experiences as well as the various systems in an individual’s life that make the biggest impact. Dr. McCarthy loves spending time with her family and friends, eating and trying new foods, being outdoors, traveling, and being a big kid at heart.
