Danielle Underwood, LCSW

Danielle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 6 years of experience serving children, adolescents, and families in various settings, including residential treatment, schools, and an outpatient partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient program. Danielle completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Social and Economic Justice. She then served two terms of service with AmeriCorps, working in an affordable housing agency in Tacoma, Washington and a dropout prevention program here in Austin. Following AmeriCorps, she earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Her clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, familial relationships, and stress management. She has extensive experience working with individuals, groups, and families and draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities to guide her interventions, depending on the needs of the client. Danielle approaches her work in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, collaborative manner and works to develop a trusting, safe, and empowering space to guide and support clients as they work to reach their goals.
