Christina Hurtado, LCSW School-Based Clinical Therapist
Christina Hurtado is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience providing therapeutic services to adolescents and children in a school setting. After completing her undergraduate studies at Southwestern University, she went on to receive a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Christina is mindful to approach each client with compassion and patience in order to create a safe and non-judgmental environment. Christina works with individuals who are seeking to overcome obstacles such as grief/loss, childhood/adult trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. She utilizes techniques from child-centered play therapy, mindfulness, and somatic therapy. She believes children can heal through play and creative expression.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
