Chelsea Garcia, LCSW-S
School-Based Clinical Therapist
Chelsea is a licensed clinical social worker supervisor (LCSW-S) with more than ten years of experience working in schools. She studied psychology and english at Boston University before earning a master’s degree in social work at the University of Texas – Austin. Chelsea is passionate about the school based ecological model of care that best ensures all people have access to high quality mental and behavioral health support. Chelsea works primarily with teens and adults, offering individual, family, and group counseling services. She uses a collaborative approach with clients, creating safe and non-judgmental spaces that help clients discover their strengths and achieve their goals so they can thrive. She enjoys helping clients work through many different issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, social issues, and adjustment to life transitions, all with a lens of trauma-informed care. She truly believes in the healing power of relationships and seeks to help clients feel empowered to make self-determined changes to better their lives. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, and being outside exploring Austin.
