Ashley Whittaker, LPC
Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling. Ashley has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families in various mental health outpatient settings over the last 8 years as a counselor. She has a strong passion for the mental health field and believes that everyone deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and a chance to make positive life changes. Ashley’s therapeutic approach is strengths-based and person-centered. She strives to promote empowerment in her clients to overcome barriers in reaching their goals. She incorporates child-centered play therapy, creative and expressive arts, mindfulness techniques, cognitive behavioral strategies, and trauma-focused care into her work when appropriate. Ashley specializes in working with children and adults who are experiencing life transitions, parenting challenges, difficulty managing stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and other behavioral concerns. When she is not counseling, she enjoys creating art, baking and spending time with friends and family.
