Anne could not be more grateful to be a part of the Vida Clinic team and have the privilege to work with the community at Wooldridge Elementary School. Anne has always had a passion for working with youth and in college studied Human Biology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Functioning at Stanford University. Anne went on to serve in Americorps at an elementary school in San Francisco before attending University of California—Berkeley to obtain her Masters in Social Welfare. After working as a school-based therapist at an elementary school in East Palo Alto, Anne returned to her hometown of Austin and was excited to find the opportunity to continue to provide school-based mental health services at the elementary level. Anne uses a strengths-based approach and incorporates various therapeutic modalities based on the client’s needs including play therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. Anne wholeheartedly believes in Vida Clinic’s mission to provide high quality mental health services in innovative ways to communities that may not typically have access to these services.
Vida Clinic specializes in school-based mental health and provides a range of services that include individual, family, and group counseling; teacher training and consultation groups; school-wide workshops and trauma-informed culture building.
