Aisha Charles, JD, LCSW

Aisha is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles where she received her Master of Arts in Social Work. She has a big heart and is passionate about working with children and persons who identify themselves as members of various groups and backgrounds such as ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, and other vulnerable populations in marginalized communities. 

Prior to becoming a social worker, Aisha worked in the legal field advocating on behalf of undocumented persons and other social justice issues. She has worked with children and youth in an academic environment as well as with adults in a medical setting. Aisha’s areas of focus include adolescent issues, social problems, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and social problems. Aisha strongly believes that each person has the right to autonomy and in looking at the whole person from a systems perspective. She uses a relational strengths-based approach, incorporating Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Trauma Informed Care techniques. 

Aisha endeavors to bring her transparency and openness to every session, aiming to create a safe space for clients. In her free time, she loves to cook, travel, and spend time with her family, which includes her two dogs.
