Karen Pimentel, LCSW
Karen is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker from South Texas. With nearly a decade of
dedicated service to children and families, Karen is a seasoned and compassionate clinical
therapist with experience working with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations
both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Karen arrives to all her interactions with clients from a compassionate, empathic and collaborative approach with a clear understanding that all individuals carry immense capacities for growth and resilience. She has lent her heart and expertise to her clients, providing them with not just care, but also the hope and guidance they needed to navigate through challenging circumstances.
As a steadfast advocate for justice, integrity and opportunities for the most vulnerable, Karen has spent nearly a decade committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most. Karen’s enthusiasm for her profession is evident in every aspect of her work. She views counseling as a collaborative journey, where clients and therapist embark together to foster positive change. Karen incorporates client’s strengths with a variety of clinical interventions, such as cognitive
behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, task centered problem
solving therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to collaboratively help her clients meet their
goals.
