Our Story and Mission
In 2012 Elizabeth Portman Minne, PhD, launched a pilot program for school based mental health clinics at Crockett High School in Austin, Texas. In 2015, Dr Minne’s behavioral health agency, Vida Clinic, officially took ownership of Crockett High School’s program and later that year expanded to two additional schools. Since that time, Vida Clinic has opened clinics in over 27 campuses and is still growing. Vida Clinic continues its mission to provide access to quality, clinical mental health care services in schools for every student, parent and staff member who needs them.
Vida Clinic is a woman-owned business.
Vida Clinic values people. We are constantly thinking about ways to enhance the therapy experience, deepen our school community connections, and strengthen support for our team. Vida Clinic believes in the importance of growth and opportunity, as well as sustainability. With a focus on addressing mental health in schools, the Vida Clinic team demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting a vision of making our schools dynamic and nurturing places that inspire our students to make a positive contribution to society. Through our clinics embedded within school campuses, we are able to promote the de-stigmatization of mental health issues across various systems and offer a space for healing so that people can easily access the care they need in order to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
